Playing God: A Procedurally Generated Solar System

An experiment on procedural generation

Myself and two other collaborators created a procedurally generated solar system in Unity, populated with random terrestrial and gas planets that you could edit in real time.

I implemented the generator and editor for terrestrial planets. My initial design was based off of a set of tutorials by Sebastian Lague, though I expanded upon it and added a number of new features for the project. I also filmed and edited the trailer above.

A number of planets made using the generator
